Ms. Ira took her first dance class at the age of four in Kansas City, Kansas, and hasn’t stopped dancing since. She was a competition dancer for 10 years and enjoyed every moment of it. During high school, she was on the cheer team, advanced choir, and performed in multiple musicals. After realizing that she wanted to pursue dance as a career, she applied and auditioned for Oklahoma City University’s American Dance and Entertainment school.
During her college career, she performed in multiple student choreography shows, community theater shows, and basketball games as an OCU Pep Dancer. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in American Dance Pedagogy. Following graduation, she decided to stay in Oklahoma City and put her degree to use where she has a full-time job teaching dance at John Marshall Mid-High School. Ms. Ira is ecstatic to begin her 5th year of teaching at All That Dance. She is looking forward to spreading her love for dance with her students, and developing those connections that she very much cherished as a dancer growing up.
